Advent Devotional
An Empty Devotion
We often think of Advent and Christmas as a season of fulfillment: God’s promise fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ. In another sense, we think of the holiday season as a time of fullness: full of family, food, and festivities—and sometimes full of anxiety, rush, and drama as well. Fulfillment and fullness: this is Advent and Christmas. Or is it?
This year, our Advent devotional will challenge us to rethink the way we approach this season—not as one of fulfillment and fullness, but rather as a Season of Emptying. Sign up now to receive our daily Advent devotional emails beginning on December 3.
